Dime si me quieres cómo yo te quiero,

bajo siempre solitario a venderles mi carbón.

mi morena;
firu firulí, firu firulí

flor temprana enrollada en mi canción.

 Chalatenango

Chalatenango tierra bendecida

citala-chalatenangoNidito tibio del jardín de Cuscatlán,

Tus encantadas calles empedradas

VOICES AROUND THE WORLD PROJECT

Here we are again to take part in this great project; joining voices from more than 40 countries around the world. This year the song to be recorded is “Listen to Us” written especially for the project by Laurie Lewin. The project this year also involves a video making dimension – to record students’ work on the song, their views about the future of the world and to show off their great dancing moves!

Somewhere in my Memory

Candles in the window michael-w-smith1
Shadows painting the ceiling
Gazing at the fire glow
Feeling that gingerbread feeling
Precious moments, special people
Happy faces, I can see
Somewhere in my memory
Christmas joys all around me
Living in my memory
All of the music, all of the magic
All of the family, home here with me
Precious moments, special people
Happy faces, I can see
Somewhere in my memory
All of the music, all of the magic
All of the family, home here with me

No Matter What

No matter what they tell us, no matter what they doboyzone
No matter what they teach us, what we believe is true.

No matter what they call us, however they attack
No matter where they take us, we’ll find our own way back.

I can’t deny what I believe, I can’t be what I’m not
I know our love’s forever, I know no matter what

If only tears were laughter, If only night was day
If only prayers were answered, then we would hear God say

No matter what they tell you, no matter what they do
No matter what they teach you, what you believe is true

And I will keep you safe and strong, and sheltered from the storm
No matter where it’s barren, a dream is being born.

No matter who they follow, no matter where they lead
No matter how they judge us, I’ll be everyone you need

No matter if the sun don’t shine, or if the skies aren’t blue
No matter what the ending, my life began with you

I can’t deny what I believe
I can’t be what I’m not
I know this love’s forever
That’s all that matters now

No, no matter (That’s all that matters to me)
No, no matter (That’s all that matters to me)

Molly Malone

In Dublin’s fair city, where the girls are so pretty molly1
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
As she wheeled her wheelbarrow through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive a-live O!

A-live a-live O! A-live a-live O!
Crying cockles and mussels alive a-live O!

She was a fishmonger and sure it was no wonder
For so were her father and mother before
And they both wheeled their barrows through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive a-live O!

A-live a-live O! A-live a-live O!
Crying cockles and mussels alive a-live O!

She died of a fever and no one could save her
And that was the end of sweet Molly Malone
Now her ghost wheels her barrow through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive a-live O!

A-live a-live O! A-live a-live O!
Crying cockles and mussels alive a-live O!
A-live a-live O! A-live a-live O!
Crying cockles and mussels alive a-live O!

TEARS IN HEAVEN

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?Eric Clapton

I must be strong
And carry on
‘Cause I know I don’t belong
Here in heaven

Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?

I’ll find my way
Through night and day
‘Cause I know I just can’t stay
Here in heaven

conor claptonTime can bring you down

Time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please

Beyond the door
There’s peace, I’m sure
And I know there’ll be no more
Tears in heaven

EBONY AND IVORY

Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmonyEbony and Ivory
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh Lord, why don’t we?

We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in everyone
We learn to live, and we learn to give
Each other what we need to survive together alive

Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh Lord, why don’t we?

BRIDGE OVER TROUBLE WATER

simon-&-garfunkelWhen you’re weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I’m on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I’ll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled watersimon_and_garfunkel_2_by_lartisteinconnu-d54knue

Sail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way

See how they shine
If you need a friend
I’m sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
